NYC Reminiscing!!

Hi Guys!!!

So myself and my husband have been to American twice now. Its funny, I have always been a  Europe girl. America is defiantly a place I knew I would eventually visit but wasn't on the top of my list. But in saying that I really did love it.

NYC was just something amazing. Just like you see in movies. Other places we visited are on the top of my favourite list. But how could you go to New York and not fall in love with it. The people, the streets, the cafes and cake stores, Central park, Brooklyn Bridge, Roof top bars, Broadway shows.

I have been in both Winter and in Summer and for me personally I feel in love with it during winter. It just has this whole different vibe about it. With the snow covering Central Park. Walking the streets dressed in a million layers. Making a stop by Chelsea's Market for a coffee and cookies by Eleni's which if anyone ever gone, go try the cookies there. They are AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! Also Chelsea's Market is really cool. They have great little boutiques to food shops to a Barber. Pretty much you can find what you want there.

I honestly feel like I could sit here all night and list all the amazing things I really loved about New York but I won't. Instead I'll leave some photos for you all the look through!

Hope you enjoyed this post. If you have any great recommendations for the next time I am ever in New York please let me know

Contiki 2012

Looking at this photo the first thing I think is what an amazing group of people I had the privilege to meet!!

Before this European holiday I had been lucky enough to have been twice before with my parents dues to my Greek background but this was the first time as an adult and with my at the time boyfriend.
The experience was simply AMAZING.

When I had booked the European Highlights contiki tour I had so many people telling me negative things about it. That is it just full of young teenagers getting smashed every night and hooking up. But as my first time experience with no family members I knew contiki would be the ideal way to travel and I was not wrong.

I would have to say I could not have imaged our trip being any better then what it was. We had such an amazing bunch of people in our group who from the first day you felt comfortable with and knew it would be an awesome 2 week adventure.

PARIS... our very first stop once we got across the English Cannel. Ever since I was a little girl I have had a MAJOR obsession with Paris well more so the Eiffel tower and it is safe to say it met every expectation. I loved the view from the top of the Eiffel tower although the weather was horrid when we went so I actually didn't bother going all the way to the top (suggested by our amazing tour guide Steve). But the views from the Notre Dame Cathedral for me where breath taking. You could see EVERYTHING from the Eiffel Tower to the Arc De Triomphe.

This picture makes me smile every single time!
The Beaujolais Wine Region. The French Chateau here was super beautiful and is where we had a 'P' party hence why I have a drawn moustache and eye patch. I dressed as a pirate. I usually hate dress up parties but this trip I had a whole new attitude and that way to get out my comfort zone and have fun. Which worked out well because I actually won best dressed from my tour group. I don't ever win anything. So I was pretty impressed. Got myself a fancy bottle of wine :)
The girls in this picture are the girls I would say I got the closest to and felt like I had known them for years. They were all so friendly and down to earth. This night was just the beginning of loads of fun nights to come on our trip!

The Colosseum.. the biggest disappointment of them all. From the age of about 12 or 13 I used to always watch Lizzy McGuire and the movie which she goes to Rome and I used to say to myself I am going to go their one way and it was a must to see the Colosseum. But with our luck their happened to be a strike on. For all of us that meant that The Colosseum , The Roman Forum and all other major sites were closed. But for me that only means I have to go back so I can see it from the inside. Rome was still a place that really enjoyed. Simply things from walking the un even streets to eating the pasta and people watching.

I could go on all day and night about that trip if I wanted too as I have many great memories but Ill leave that for another throw back!

To anyone who is thinking or has been thinking of going on a Contiki but is unsure DO IT . It is defiantly worth it. You will make life long friends see the world and will have memories to look back on!
